Rimmel Lash Accelerator Endless Mascara

Hi Guys, Influenster sent me this tube of mascara to try out, and I am very happy they did!
It is Rimmel's Lash Accelerator Endless Mascara. It has a lash grow formula containing Procapil, keratin and antioxidants to help your lashes appear longer and stronger after 30 days of use.

Below are a couple of picture of my eye with and without the mascara, I truly kine this mascara, it does not clump, and washes off easy, yet it is strong enough to hold the curl of your lashes all day. It stays put and does not flake off.

With Lash Accelerator (2Coats)

I will Be back in about 3 weeks to do another review and see if my lashes do look longer, Thanks for visiting my blog! And thanks influenster!

Get Those FAB Lashes!!!

READY TO WEAR COSMETICS

Hi guys,
I wanted to share this item with you because I am very in love with it! I have always had thin lashes, and of course, as we get older it just gets even worst, I have tried so many different mascaras in hope of finding one that would give me the volume AND length I wanted with no success....until now!

I got my order from HSN a couple of days ago and started using it right away, I was so anxious to see if it would do for me what I saw it doing for the models on the demonstration. I was SHOCKED!!! It does work, and so now I want to share it with you just in case you are going thru the same thing. I love the look of false lashes (well, some of them) but I don't like the hassle of using glue and trying to place them on the right spot, or having to cut them to fit my eye, etc....plus, I didn't like the way they felt, but with this product I now get the results of fake lashes without wearing fake lashes! =)

Its very simple to use, simply give your lashes a coat of mascara (any mascara will do but I bought theirs because I took advantage of the kit sale they had), while the mascara is wet brush on your lash extensions as if it was mascara, build it up, then seal it again with another coat of mascara...and your done!   Of course you can continue on building it up, just keep in mind the lash extensions are little tiny fibers that adheres to your lashes with the mascara, so you ALWAYS want to seal it with a final coat of mascara.

Another thing is, as you are applying the lash extension you will get some fiber fall-out, that's no problem, just be sure your face or eye area has some powder on before starting so that you can quickly brush it off, this is NOT pigments, so it will NOT ruin your makeup or stain, its simply little fibers that can easily be brushed off.

This is not water proof, so don't go out swimming and expect it to hold, yet it is water resistant!
Below are a couple of photos of my eye with and without it so you can see the difference, this was only two coats and I didn't even curl my lashes prior to applying, so if you do that, they will look even more amazing!

I purchased the Ready to wear lash extension along with the fab lash and  the brow extension on a special airing HSN had for  $29.95 for the whole kit, I don't think they have the kit any longer but you can still purchase the lash extension for $23.50. The beauty of it is you can use it with ANY mascara you might have!

Also, here is the link to purchase it from HSN, they also have a video showing how to use it!

Disclaimer: I purchased these products with my own money, I am not being payed for this review by Ready to Wear cosmetics nor am I affiliated with them, this is just my honest opinion on their product!

WooHooo...Spring Is coming!!!

Yesterday was groundhog day, and our beloved Phil did not see his shadow, which means we are going to have an early spring...I can't wait to start my garden!
Funny though, I walked outside a couple of days ago and saw that some of my spring flowers have broken ground already and are about an inch tall!

Its the craziest thing to have flower coming up in the dead of winter, so I covered them with some mulch in order to protect them from frost and snow because I'm afraid the cold might do them in. I'm glad I did that because it snowed a couple days ago and last night, I just hope my flowers will do good this spring/summer.

Anyway, I'm excited about having an early spring, I'm already planning out both my vegetable garden and flower garden, I will be starting with my seeds inside this week to get a  head start, and as soon as we have our last frost then I will start my favorite pass time, getting my hands dirty out in the garden and transplanting all the seedlings in the ground. I hope you are planning out your garden as well!!

Homemade Cough Remedy

It's winter and with the flu spreading around like crazy I had to make a cough remedy for my family. This remedy works like a charm! My husband went out of state and came back with a really bad cough, he had been taking over the counter remedies but nothing was working until he had some of my homemade remedy. Its really simple to make and you probably have all the ingredients at home already!

You will need:
* 2 Fresh Lemons: The strong antibacterial and antiviral properties added the worth of this food and the major benefits of lemon. Lemons contain vitamin C which aids helps our inmune system fight off infections.

* 8 ounces of Honey ( I preffer raw honey, but any kind of honey will work) :
Honey helps get rid of the bacteria causing the irritation bcause it's a  natural antibiotic. It is packed with vitamin B6, niacin, riboflavin, pantothenic acid, calcium, iron, etc. Honey is a powerful anti-oxidant that helps remove free radicals in the body.

* 8 ounces Vodka (or any alcoholic drink of your choice) : People have been using alcohol to cure coughs for generations. The reason that alcohol works so well is that it makes your throat numb, and it warms up your chest. These in combination stop the body from feeling the need to cough, it also helps kill germs and bacteria and thin out thick mucus.

* 6 hard Peppermint Candies: Peppermint candies seem to work the best as the natural menthol is a decongestant

Directions:
Place the peppermint candies in a ziplock baggie and smash them until they are in a powder form
In a jar big enough to hold 20-22 ounces of liquid add all your ingredients, put the lid on the jar and shake well to get all the ingredients well incorporated, once you have given it the original good shake, place the jar in a hot water bath (do not boil the water, just make it hot) let the jar sit there and every 10 minutes go and shake the jar until all the peppermint is dissolved...then, VOILA, you have a homemade cough remedy!

This cough remedy should keep very well through-out the Fall and winter months, I like to keep mine refrigerated but because of the alcohol and honey in it you really dont need to.
Dose: For Adults- 2 tbsp every 4-6 hours

PLEASE NOTE: I dont recommend giving this remedy to children, below is a non-alcohol recipe for them. Please keep in mind you should NOT give honey to children under 1 year old. This recipe is good for children 2 years old and up.

*8 ounces honey
*8 ounces lemon juice ( fresh squeezed lemons)
*6 Hard peppermint candies

Use the same directions as above!
You can give the child 1 tsbp every 4-6 hours...shake well before use!
Keep refrigerated and just warm it up a bit before giving!!
